Why You Should Promote Your Brand Using Multiple Social Media Outlets

I was recently helping a friend brand her new business venture. From the sounds of her goals, I was extremely excited about the empire my friend has the potential to build. There was one thing that struck me in a negative way during our conversation. She only wanted to concentrate her promotion through instagram. I was stunned and quickly suggested that she throw that idea completely out of the window!

There is no logical reason why you should only promote your brand using one social media account. Too many people have fallen victim to the Instagram trend. They are putting way too much faith into the gram. Fun fact, Instagram isn’t even the most populated social media platform! While it is completely useful, it is not the end all be all of social media. You cannot tell your entire story using only Instagram alone. You cannot tell your entire story using only Youtube. You cannot tell your entire story using only Twitter. Do you see my point?

The idea of social media marketing is to tell your brand’s story using multiple platforms to get successful results. @MissKHolleman

It’s a similar concept to maintaining your personal health and fitness. You cannot do only a sit-up routine and expect to lose 10 pounds. You cannot only do cardio and expect to see your biceps and triceps grow. Cardio plus strength and a healthy diet make those things happen! Spot training doesn’t work in personal fitness and spot branding won’t work with your social media marketing efforts. It’s just not going to work.

The best way to see fantastic results with your branding goals is to promote on all relevant social media platforms. Each social media outlet has it’s own culture. Instagram is image driven. Youtube allows you to run wild with video content. Tweets are a written form of content that can be enhanced using graphics. The list goes on. There are several ways to tell your story using several different social media outlets. Why not take advantage of all of the social media outlets that best relate to the content of your brand? Don’t even get me started on Pinterest and Snapchat!

The point I’m making is that you can’t limit your brand to any one outlet. Use all of the platforms at your disposal to get your story out there. You will see even greater results and your brand will thrive because of it! Thank me later.
