As the interim president of the Delta Gamma chapter of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, I created a month long social media challenge to engage sorority sisters across the country in celebrating our organization during our Founders month.

I created this challenge because of the importance of social media engagement. Many of our local target audience do not know about our organization and its impact locally, regionally, and nationally. As a means to create publicity, the challenge serves as a way for instagram users to see who the sisters of Gamma Phi Delta are and what the organization is all about.

Each day consists of a new themed post to be shared using the hashtag #gammaphideltafounderschallenge. Posts vary from fun facts and sorority paraphernaila to influential Gammas and chapter photos! As the sorority sisters post, users see the challenge take place on their timeline every day for 28 days!

The need for social media engagement in any organization targeting millennials is vital. Social media is a major hub for college-aged persons. As engagement goes up, results tend to rise as well. Stay tuned for the results of my social media engagement challenge!
