How I Became a Marketing Consultant

I absolutely love marketing and social media. If it has anything to do with communications, I’m down! I started writing short stories when I was 7 years old. I’ve always enjoyed reading and writing and my voice has truly developed over the years. In fact, I’m working on an e-book guide right now. I developed my passion for marketing during my college years. I loved my marketing internship and purchased marketing books to read in my spare time (which I rarely had). I remember during a course called “sales promotion management”, we went over SWOT analysis. One of my friends in college had a business back then and I remember using his business as my presentation.

After class, he and I discussed how we could take his marketing to the next level. He was so excited about my ideas and told me that I should help people with their marketing strategies for a living. It was in that moment that I realized I was born to help people take their business from 0 to 100… real quick. I love creating marketing plans or creating content for my clients. My first few consulting seekers have been friends who are starting amazing brands. In the next weeks, I will be explaining on this blog how I helped them develop and promote their businesses and services.

Being a marketing consultant is a fun gig for me. I love planning and helping someone live out their dream. A lot of my readers are college students who love marketing and communications as much as I do. I know that those of you who fit in that demographic are exploring your options as you close in on your graduation date. Consider helping other people. There is nothing more amazing than building your portfolio and your brand while helping another person build their dream too.
